Dead RF2 - I think.

Dear all, I have an old Amstrad sky box in the living room and until recently was able to either run a magic eye or direct cable link to the tv in the kitchen. However the direct link is now very snowy and the magic eye doesn't show a light, even when directly plugged into the RF2 port so I assume I have somehow killed it.
The box is ancient and pre dates plusses and HDs and is used for freesat - I originally had a Sky package but cancelled a year later.
Is there anyway I can somehow connect this skybox to watch the tv in the kitchen? (What's an RF1 for? Can that be configured to do it?) I don't care if I can't change channels on it, it isn't hard to walk to the living room door to do that.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

A magic eye connected to RF 2 only allows channel changing using a remote. A standard coax cable will provide analogue (mono) reception on another TV of the channel being watched on the Sky box.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Thank you - yes, that's right, I want to watch the tv in the kitchen, I can lean round the living room door to change channel so magic eye not essential but would be nice.
But how can I connect the sky box which is under the telly in the living room to the tv in the kitchen without a working RF2 port? Is there a way.0 -

Thanks, but if I do that there is nothing on the second tv. At least with the cable plugged in to RF2 I get a picture and sound, even if it is snowy. Oh dear, I think I'm going to have to move the sky box into the kitchen if I want to watch in there. What a pain.
Thanks for the ideas folks.

Thanks, yes I have (I think) I just set it to run along the line and though it flickered a couple of times it found nothing, whereas when I did the same with RF2, it found the picture after just a couple of seconds.0

Perhaps check on the main TV if RF1 is outputting a picture although I can't think why it wouldn't.
If it works change the coax cable to the 2nd TV in case it isn't working.0 -
Thanks - I've tried a different cable but it's the same. How would I test if the rf1 was working too?
Thank you for your advice by the way, I'm very grateful as I so hate being beaten by technology!0 -
