hope this fits the mse thread criteria
anyhow just more news from the bbc website about us being the most expensive place in uk for petrol, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-24579046
what gets me is that tescos, sainsburys etc set different prices in different towns here, yes i understand competition between supermarkets but when same supermarket charges different prices

I would love to know where the get the average price of 132.9 - nowhere near me is as low as that - most around here are 135.9 (Seen a few in Belfast at 129.9 though)Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0

the cheapest at the moment according to the consumer council is 128.7, http://www.consumercouncil.org.uk/cost-of-living-consumer-tips/fuel-price-watch/0

Loughview (Lurgan - just off the M1 roundabout) £1.319 but 6p per litre discount for £15 grocery spend: their gricery offers were OK.
I filled up on the way home for £1.259 per litre as opposed to the usual £1.299 round here.
(Every little helps )0 -

There's a self service on the Armagh Road in Portadown, just before Lidl and apparently it's £1.25 too? Self service in this case means no onsite staff at all.0 -

seems cheap enough...
until you factor in a pump and a set of injectors0 -

Maybe I should have clarified - it was unleaded petrol (as in the thread title).
Fairly minimal risk IMHO.
And I'm not sure the proprietors would appreciate the suggestion that their fuel (including diesel) was in any way suspect.
Sorta glad I didn't name them but it's fairly obvious who/what it is given the location.
It's a 'chain' who frequently run this promotion though it was made more attractive by the fact that their pump price was already lower than the norm thereby maximising the 'value' of the discount.0 -
Ah ok, shouldn`t be any problem with petrol,
btw how much is the diesel around there?0 -
Dunno.
Not sure as it was of no interest; possibly £1.389 pre discount?0 -

I use only this one place, it was £1.26 when I filled up last week. I've never had a problem, it's a go garage. I purposely stick with one place so if anything happens my car I know where I got stung!
Asda in Portadown was £1.280 -
Centra in Tandragee is 132.9p for unleaded at the minute0
