I have just done the same thing. I sent my cash card to my daughter in Mexico, but obviously can transfer from my A+L account to my Nationwide account thro internet banking0 -

I am supporting a student at University in Indonesia and need to transfer money to him about every two months. I cannot find anyone who deals with Indonesia. Can you help?0

I do not think that it would be a good idea to give an Indonesian student a nationwide card on my uk account. Although I trust him, I hate to think what would happen if it was stolen. I already have a Nationwide card and account, as I live in France, which I use for transfers between uk and France. To get a second card, there would need to be a second name on the account and, for me, this is not practical. Certainly, Nationwide would not allow an Indonesian national to be an account holder.
The reason I posted the question was that none of the specialists like https://www.xe.com/fx/ seem to deal with Indonesia. I have to send relatively small amounts at a time (about pds 30 per transfer) and the normal bank charges are horrendous so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. Also, Paypal is not available in Indonesia.
I did read your details first, but could not find the solution there.0 -

I need to send £3000 in dollars to my sister in law. Dont want to set up paypal so any ideas what is the cheapest way as £3000 is too low to go through a money broker.
Thanks0 -
Does she have a bank account in I presume the USA? If so you could do a bank transfer. Other options include Western Union or Travellers Cheques sent by Secure courier such as DHLMy Mind wanders, if found please return.0

Is it correct that you need some fresh ideas that are not mentioned in 'Sending Money Overseas: Moving money large or small' article and two discussion threads?0
