    Morning all,

My list for today has been started on though I know I'm not going to get to hunt for cobwebs today or go for my blood test there just aren't enough hours in the day. So as it stands:

    [STRIKE]Bleach weeds[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Babysit Grandbaby whilst his Mother goes to the dentist[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuum throughout[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    Blood test
[STRIKE]Send hubby to the refuse centre (again)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Get hubby to put his gardening wellies and the case to took to Devon in the shed[/STRIKE]
    Shopping
    Cobweb hunt

News from the South African baby house. Two babies are in the process of being adopted which leaves 2 babies left in their care not including Soldier.

My hair, well its dark.... almost goth like. Daughter nearly jumped through her skin this morning when she dropped Grandbaby off. I think I should have warned her. :D The only problem is my usual blusher clashes with it.:(

Right, best get a move on before I burn hubbys bacon. He likes it well done (but not that well done :o).

Fish tonight for me and hubby but the obligatory 9" pizza for 'youngest'.

    Have a good day all.

Tru - At least OH didn't buy another blanket! I did have a chuckle!!

DD and I took a car load of stuff to the charity shop, the door is at the rear of the property. When we had finished there was a table outside by the bin so we asked if we could have it! It is a beautiful small dining table that extends and when I have sanded and re-varnished it or something similar it will be just the job for the new house kitchen. Went to SM and kept smiling, can't believe my luck.

Raining here and washing is all over the place! Take care. XX

Ok, inspired by ivyleaf I have decided to try to start posting again. We met several years ago when Aussielass (i think) came over for a visit and squeaky was there too!

I gave up work a couple of years ago when my dad became terminally ill - he died in February this year. Luckily we were able to afford it and I feel quite guilty when I know how many of you really struggle to make ends meet. I am old style by inclination though and like to keep up with all your doings.

Anyway this isn't getting the bread made and I want to try Paul Hollywood's recipe for chocolate and cherry blondies - I'll let you know how they taste.

Didn't get home until 9pm last night due to a disaster of a mix up with dates by DH, then had to start making food for a buffet in work today. It's supposed to cheer people up but seeing as everyone is totally depressed and demotivated, I think it will take a lot more than my Oriental rice salad to do that.
Hmmm - a buffet to cheer everyone up does sound a bit like putting a band-aid on a broken bone, but I'm sure the Oriental salad will be delicious.:o

:D We've got one of those jars - it belonged to Mr LW's grandma, and we use it to keep his spare packets of chewing gum in.

Ruby Labrador is going to be a very easy dog to look after - just let her into the garden a few times a day, a very gentle 10 minute walk off the premises for a change of scenery - she came to the post box with me earlier - and a meal with her meds in once a day, and she's happy. She's 11 years old and got quite bad arthritis, so she can't do a lot, but she's a very happy lass, and so gentle and sweet-natured.:o With her name, I was expecting to see a reddish-hued chocolate lab, but no, she's a yellow!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all,

Just had a quick read and completely forgotten what I wanted to say!
LW gentle pats for Ruby I know just how she feels.
Hello to all the returners, newbies :D

Been dashing about today. Managed to get to MR T's for a few bits, still need to pop to Aldi. When hubby gets back.
I'm avoiding wheat as much as possible as it really upsets my IBS. Made the mistake of having pastry yesterday and boy did I pay for it last night. I'm hoping to feel much more energetic. I've bought some rice flour and polenta. And going to have a bash at making bread and tortillas, let you know how I go on.
Thank crunchy its Friday. Hoping for a nice relaxed cuddly evening with dh and a glass of wine.
Busy weekend moving into the other bedroom ready for my daughters return next weekend.

It's wet and miserable here, feels like it's going dark already !

    Have a good evening x

Had a great afternoon at History we learned all about the Gallipolli campaign in WW! very sad it was as well. Our tutor played a tune called The Band Played Waltzing Matilda by Eric Bogle which sums up the total futilty of war.You can find it on Youtube I think.
So many young men fighting over a small scrap of land and over 200.000 men died for it in 8 months.

    Evening all,

We were at the hospital all morning as DH was put through his paces on the treadmill etc. DH has to have more tests before they decide if he needs a defibrillator fitted, one test will be the day hospital and shocking his heart to see the responses (can't remember the correct term).

To cheer ourselves up we went and had lunch at the caf! with a view of Mumbles lighthouse.

I had to go into M&S to collect DH's suit that I bought online- £47 for a 'big and tall' wool suit and free delivery to store :T

The wind has got up again this evening, so I'm wearing my blankie :)
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Hi again. Thanks for the welcome.
Ivyleaf, yes I've been around before, but I don't have M.E. I do have the occasional tangle with depression. (My own and that of a few family members). I apprecaiate the supportive comments from everyone. With regard to the job, I'm partialy devastated and scared, and partly curiously peaceful as if there's something right about it. It's ongoing anyway, in the meantime I have a home to prepare, baking to do, finances to sort etc.
Goodnight you good people on here, and thaks again.
