I have just done that - signing off the new agreement now.

Any idea if transferring from the Egg card to Egg money means another credit check? I've had the former for years and wouldn't mind replacing it with the latter, but don't want anything affecting my credit score unnecessarily at the moment (remortgaging coming up).

No recent experience, but a couple of years ago I (and many other stoozers) successfully applied for the Egg Money card as an existing Egg Card holder and wasn't credit searched externally with the CRA's.

I did put myself in the best position though, by running my Egg Card account well and opening an Egg Savings account a couple of months before I made the application.

If I was to offer one piece of advice, it would be to apply as I did, and NOT to close the Egg Card down first. That way, if you are declined, you can at least use the 'swap' as a negotiating tool later.

Are there any advantages to the Egg Money card - other than stoozing - over the one on which the £35 Quidco cashback is available?

The Egg Money card has 1% cashback, the Egg Card does not.

I did ask if I could "swap" from the Egg Card to the Egg Money card but was told that I could not - I would have to cancel my existing card and then apply for the Egg Money card 12 months later.
