Keep us informed of the outcome.
i hope that you stay away from all the Jeremy Kyle advice of "having it out" in the shop and do take your issue to the local police station. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

If they were 14, I would be round there on their behalf. At 16 I would not.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
UPDATE-
Yesterday I emailed the head office through their website and explained the situation. Today I received a phone call from a lady from there and she was very helpful and sympathetic. She said that the manager would be dealt with and she apologized sincerely. She also said she would send out some vouchers and when I told her we probably would not go in there again after what happened. She said she would also send out boxes of chocolates for the girls. At 17 years old, the older one really should have the presence to deal with this.

Going to the police will achieve nothing.
But going into the shop, at the busiest time, and standing as close to the till as possible explaining politely, calmly, and loudly what's happened, is a fantastic way to get the manager to come up with an amicable solution fast.0 -
