Morning all,
How lovely to see the sun again
Washing out on the line, stripped DS2's bed. I don't believe in chores for kids, the only exception being when my kids reach 14 they are responsible for stripping and remaking their beds and at 16 they do their own ironing. The older two were fine, DS2 I think likes a stinky bed! I give him the clean linen once a week - it sits on his floor for another week and then I strip his bed so he has no choice. Why are some teens so skanky?!
Been out with my friend to pick some more apples and pears and have frozen some for Winter puddings.
DS2 has gone to school for the morning, officially its closed but 6th form can go in and study and he's been in to some work in a group.
Off to work shortly.
Have a good day0 -
[STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] Afternoon All (nearly made it!)
TTFTM - great news about 2nd interview. Great that you have excellent plans in place for redundancy money, but please don't build yourself up too much. (just in case there is a disappointment)
Molly - Kids grrrr hugs
Redruby - it can be fun recalling all the good things about a loved one, I hope you found it consoling.
Judi - terrible that you came home to a mess. However he is an adult and should know better! You have spoiled those boys, just cos they are boys doesn't mean they don't need to learn basic cleanliness and housekeeping. As for "giving" his mate YOUR duvet . . . Good luck to OH getting job and you both sorting a car. We used one of those space saver cots for DGS for at least 6 months, they are brilliant IMHO.
Lovely day here after the rain yesterday. Might take OH for a drive down the coast this afternoon as there is rain due again tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -

Judi I'd've stood over "Youngest" with a cat-o-nine-tails and made him clear up every bit of mess. I'm mad on your behalf.
Gonzo you have a pm.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
It has been lovely here today so all the wshing is outon the line, some is nearly dry. We went shopping this morning and I spent more than I really wanted to, but I did get two new LED worklights
a new padlock for the gate, a torque socket set for DH and a cardi for DS for Christmas, the actual food shop was £37.63.
Judi I would have been fuming as well, he would have had to clean it all up whilst DH was standing behind him or he would have been kicked outBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hello all!
What a dull damp day, although didn't see much of it at work!
Been to Mr M's on the way home to collect friend, who had a load of shopping and no car, and has only recently had abdominal surgery, took her home and 3 of her teenage kids were sitting watching tv, cue a rollicking from me and much scurrying from them to bring in and unpack the shopping. When I left she was sitting with a cuppa and the kids were organising dinner! Popped into mums, then home to peel the spuds, venison pork and red wine sausages in the oven so quick dinner here, DD is just in so will eat soon, then hit the shower. We had a very late night last night due to the boozebag neighbour again, 3 car loads of police, one arrest and an ambulance later peace was had, by which time I was so annoyed about their 3 kids being put at risk I couldn't sleep, so I fear it will be an early night here!RIP Iain

pretty good day the boys behaved well and I hardly heard a peep from them apart from when they wanted feeding.Got two lines of washing dried for Dd and her bathroom now sparkles.Watched War Horse this afternoon as DGS Jack wanted to see it as he is starting the WW1 history at school. So he was a happy bunny and I managed to get some knitting done at the same time .Just about to go and fish some dinner out of the freezer
Have a good evening everyone

Evening all,
well spiders have been safe from me today. Unfortunately theres only two things ive done all day and none of them were on my list of 'to dos'.
I said I was going to go grey gracefully but ive changed my mind. This afternoon I put a semi on my hair and its a lovely shade of plum. In the bright sunlight the grey looks almost cerise and I love it.:) Oh and ive cooked tea.:o
I need hubby to get back to work, its bad enough trying to work round two dogs let alone a man.:mad:Judi - terrible that you came home to a mess. However he is an adult and should know better! NAR believe me, he wont be doing it again. If he does he will be coming with us.
Hubby's been offered a contract on his next job but he's holding out on it because he doesn't want to work away. He's looking for something closer to home.
As for the car.... I give up. Nothing I suggested he said was suitable. For goodness sake a Noddy car with an engine would probably be more suitable than the car he has now.
I think an evening in front of the pc awaits me tonight. I need some space.

[QUOTE=carolbee;
Off to the caravan show at NEC on Sunday, so will make a cake for our picnic I think.
Hugs to those that need them.[/QUOTE]
Make sure you have comfy shoes on, we have just got back from the show, its massive, lots of expensive caravans and motor homes. I came home with a sore back, head and feet, but my purse was intact.
OH did the buying........no we did not buy a new van although we saw one we really likes that we can tow with our car. believe it or not it was on the very last stand as we were heading for the train home, having looked, and complained, at all the other stands because all the vans were too heavy0 -
Evening all
Blood tests results were better than expected - I have a vitamin D deficiency. Need to take supplements daily and get more dairy into my diet and oily fish. Dr said it will take a few months for me to notice any improvement in my tiredness etc, but at least it's nothing serious!!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0
