Morning all,
Brighter day here, dd is going back to Uni today she is scared to miss too much, she has had three days off and will have to copy all the notes to catch up. It will do her good to get back to a routine, I will go back next Mon.
The celebrant yesterday was a lovely woman, we cried and laughed a lot remembering things my dad had done, I was dreading it tbh but was glad I went.
Going to drop dd at the station then come home and have a good tidy round I am fed up of being in a mess !
Molly poor you xx
Bargain Bird :rotfl::rotfl: at dd ! xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning All
B Bird - Hope DD2 has stopped wailing, that made me laugh!
TTFTM - Fabulous news! Keeping everything crossed for you.
Judi - I think I would have had to lay a hand on the culprits!!
Tru - Can't believe you can buy frozen bubble and squeak!
Hilstep - Beautiful picture.
Went through to Edinburgh yesterday to collect DS2s stuff (which is still in the car), took us over 2 hours to get there, he was very disorganised, ate the tea we took him and I eventually managed to get him moving. I think he is nearly organised but I now have a car full of 'stuff' to pack up and move while he goes away travelling! We didn't get home till 11pm.
Going to put his stuff in to wash in a mo and then get moving. Someone coming to collect a bed I have sold later and then another person coming to have a look at the table and chairs. The house is going to be very bare!!
Weather very wet so all the washing will go on the airers. Take care. XX0 -
Judi, I once came back from a weekend away to find 57 full bin bags waiting for the dustman.
That's one heck of a lot of rubbish!Judi - I think I would have had to lay a hand on the culprits!!
Only one person to blame and that's my son.:mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all.
Black dog has descended. Really quite badly. No idea why or from where. Feel really panicky.
TTFTM, I really hope you get this job.
Judi, I'd have been so cross to have come home to that.
Right, I need to pull my socks up & go to sainsburys, hang up the washing etc etc. all the usual crap.
Love, hugs & spoons xxx0 -

Bargainbird how dramatic are girls.
My DD is off work with a water and ear infection, poor soul, I think she is picking up everything DGS brings home from school.
I'm so nervous about my knee op, last night I dreamt they chopped my leg off:eek:
Just some pottering and washing this morning. I need a shower and then hopefully when dh gets home we are going to nip to Ikea to get some ideas for the ensuite. We are moving bedrooms as our daughter moves back home a week on Saturday.
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

:mad::mad: and hubby would have made him pay for it!
Apparently my instruction to clean up after himself wasn't clear enough.
I didn't tell him to clean the microwave after he'd used it. I didn't tell him to clean the cooker after he'd splattered it with grease. I didn't tell him the shower/bath needed to be cleaned after use. That's one mistake I wont be making again. He will get a full paged list of dos and donts. In fact, i'm reluctant to go away for longer than a week from now on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all,
DW & WM on, bedroom is tidy and the garden swept of other people's leaves (well, you know what I mean - work-free gardening all summer & a bash about with a brush in the autumn: not bad!)
Must drag the vac upstairs as DH has shed hair all over the carpet- it's like he is in moult - and has flung talc all over the rest. He is distracted atm as his hospital apt for his heart is tomorrow and he is worried that they will not get to the point quickly & start all the tests all over again. 3 months ago he was told what was needed but was in the wrong department, so he had to go onto another waiting list.
I baked yesterday instead of doing what ever was needed so I'll have to wander round trouble shooting once I've vacuumed.
Molly - oh dear, it gets worse as they get older doesn't it x
Hugs all round, especially to Judi hunting spiders xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I love groupon. Got a £10 free credit from them, so just bought a voucher for a photo canvas, which I had planned to get OH for his birthday. Just need to find a lovely photo of his devil kitten now.
Also looking into finding somewhere for Bramble to stay while we're away... Lamewolf....where are you based
So just 1 more bit to get OH for his birthday, which is a T-shirt I think he'll like.
Going to meal plan for the rest of the month today, and try to get through it with a little spent as possible, so we can pay our deposit for our holiday!0 -
Morning everyone, beautiful morning down here in Kent. Washing out and the to do list is done, if it's on the list it will get done, she says in a hopeful tone of voice ....
Menu planned for next week and shopping list done for early am trip to supermarket tomorrow.
Off to the caravan show at NEC on Sunday, so will make a cake for our picnic I think.
Hugs to those that need them.Carolbee0 -
