Collectable Car Auctioneers
I am seeking advice on the best auctioneer/ place to sell a collectable car. My wife has just won a limited edition alfa romeo F6 Guiietta. It is one of only 6 in the world, based on the model in the film fast and furious 6. It has loads of extras, is individually numbered, and the dashboard has been signed by the cast of the film. We are trying to establish where to go for valuation and auction, if anyone has any ideas please post an answer, as the car is a real collectable.

Loads of extra's? A plate signed by some of the cast and a number from 1 to 6?
The cars are totally standard 1.4 turbo units, Standard wheels suspension etc etc etc...
Where did you win it? Some email you received. You just need to pay the shipping or customs fee?
I dont think your going to get rich and retire from its sale. You may get a few £ more than its new value if your lucky. But i wouldnt count on it.
Maybe if you get it delivered and garaged without registering it. Maybe worth more.
But once you register it and add your name to the V5C you maybe devalueing it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I would suggest a good search on Google as i don't think anybody on here will much experience in this field.
Though in America a lot of people sell such things on eBay and get decent returns.
Such things are marmite to many. But if you managed to hook a couple of Alfa mad collectors then you could make a decent return.
They were however only sold for £26k so don't get to excited.
Contact Motor Village in Marylebone and ask if anybody has spoken to them about wanting one as they were the only garage that sold them0 -
I wouldn't turn my nose up at £26k0

I don't want the car... just the £26k0 -
Probably won it on one of those Facebook Like-farming scams where the first 6 to "Like" and "Share" will win.

Ask the same thing on Pistonheads.0

As with most comp. prizes, isn't the easiest way to dispose of it through the source? They will be fielding all the enquiries from the nuts wanting to buy it so why not have a word with Motor Village Marylebone?0

The standard car probably discounts to a little over twenty grand so if the dealer offers anything over fifteen I'd grab it - its not worth getting an auction house involved as the basic car just isn't special enough and after their commission you'd probably end up with less or a no-sale0
