I think your plan is going to fail because of week. 1

Ts gift cards don't earn you CC. Points or contribute towards threshold spend promos (ie spend. £60 get. 5p off petrol, spend. £40 get. £5 off next week ) so i doubt it will work on this

Buying other store gift cards should work though

Thanks - I know that is the case usually, but I was just basing this experiment :p on the terms and conditions given with the mailing - the only restriction given is that it excludes Tes Direct and fuel - nothing else. No mention of what does or doesn't count towards spends. It was only a suggestion doing it that way anyway but might be safer just sticking with cash from the start if I was going to do it this way

Please can you tell me more on the window insulating film. We're renting and live in a Victorian house, only upstairs is double glazed minus my youngest baby bedroom. Really want to fix his room.

Hi, sorry it took so long for me to reply, been out to Sada this morning.

We sealed the windows with window foam seal before fitting the insulating film, and it really made a difference. I wish we'd known about it years ago.

Last year we bought Stormguard Secondary Glazing Film from B&Q.

This year, we bought window insulator kits from Aldi for £4.99 each.

There are some good instructions on youtube

Remember to leave the double-sided sticky tape for a while before applying the film. Bear in mind that some paint will come away when you remove it, in the spring.

    I hope this helps.

Would it work with Visa gcs? Would cost a little extra, but works in the same way as Captain's version, with the added bonus of not being stuck with spending in T's later.

Visa gift cards have the same restrictions as the Tes gift cards so they wouldn't work either for this, unfortunately!
  • GHD

I bought my daughter some ghd's a couple of years ago for around £100 as she wouldn't have anything else. After about 15 months she dropped and broke them, sent them to ghd who sent another one foc.

While she was waiting for them I bought a Remington ceramic plates set for around £20. When the ghd's arrived she sold them on ebay as the Remington one was better.

If I had bought the Remington ones first of all she would have had a hissy fit :wall:

Same as my daughter, bought her the GHDs that she had to have as none other were good enough, then she had the Remington wet to dry which she uses and GHD's now given to other daughter!

Has anyone used their Domino pizza voucher from Sun Bingo? If yes, do you know the restrictions please - is it full price only or can you get the half price Tuesday deals etc?

    Many thanks

I tried it on the BOGOF pick up only deal on Thurs and the code did not work. Ended up getting a large 12 slice cheese and tomato for £2.49 (afer £10 voucher) for grandchildren to nosh in park as their schools were shut. They were happy as it was a nice day and had a little picnic :)

3V gift cards (online visa) definitely give petrol coupons & count towards using conditional spend coupons so they might work.

Ts giftcards don't, but 3v online visas do (if you can ever find in stock and have a way of using them - I got a few earlier in the year and each generated petrol vouchers and £5 off HH vouchers when those offers were on). I haven't had a mailing with an offer, Mrs Anon never gets vouchers? Still haven't received CC cards from online shops (and shops still not linked to original CC if that was the issue).
