You are not the only one this has happened to. I'm currently fighting them and being treated appallingly. Currently offered over 10% off the arrears and to pay it back over 3 years - lighting for a better deal as that is still too much!

    Wish you big luck

You again. At least the OP in this thread recognises her error and is contrite.

Why should you get a "deal"? You used it, you pay for it.

If you go down tescos and buy a banana that is estimated to cost about 20p but they have not been bothered to put on a price and then hand a 20p and walk out of the shop. Would u expect to be chased by security screaming at you that is cost 50p and be handcuffed and called a thief?

why should I do the energy companies job for them? they need to reads the meters and not blame us.

I've come to the conclusion you are either a WUM, or incredibly thick.

Because if you had bothered to submit meter readings you would not be in the position you are now and winging how it is everyones fault except your own.

If the bananas are priced at 68p per kg and an assistant truthfully tells you the bananas typically cost 12p each and you then discover the massive one you picked out cost 20p then you should indeed be labelled a criminal and locked up and have the key thrown away if you walk out without paying the difference.

I am accepting some blame, but not 100%!

This whole no meter reading in two years by them is crazy.

Put in prizon over a couple of pennies for a banana? you do know that someone in prizon costs the tax payers about 100 a day?

Not reading the meter that's installed in your own home at least monthly is crazier! Bonkers actually.
