Littlewoods return not recieved.

Hi my name is Leanne. I'm looking for some advice, if anyone can help me. I have always ordered from littlewoods and had the returns collected from my home. On one occasion a collection was not added to my account so I emailed and the matter was resolved. Their advice was to make sure I got a proof of collection in the future. So I asked the driver to leave me proof of collection, of which he said that littlewoods don't give them cards or barcodes with proof of collection. I had a few parcels collected and they weren't any problems with the goods been credited back to my account. Then recently I arranged a collection for 2 parcels and they were collected and then only one was credited back to my account. I have emailed, rang and wrote with eventually getting a call from the claims department. She said I was not going to be credited back and they haven't got the items (10 in total) I cant pay for items I haven't got it is not fair but littlewoods say I have to. Should I go to small claims court? Or what else can I do? please help.

Send them a FORMAL COMPLAINT letter..
Dispute the transaction in writing. Firm and directly to the point without any waffle.
You returned 2 items with the driver who said they do not give proof of collection. You have been credited for one item only.
You want to be credited with the other item, You will not be paying for something that you do not have.
Then a couple of lines to say it appears that their collection system is lacking by not providing customers with proof of collection and open to abuse by the collection driver or company concerned.
You expect an immediate refund for the item you returned.
Keep up any repayments on the account BUT do not pay the amount owed for that item.
When only that item is left on the bill then refuse to pay any more.
I had a similar issue with something else. When we used to pay bills at the post office and they just stamped the book, We made 3 payments at the post office near my sisters. That shut down soon after.
Payments did not appear on my statement so i chased it up. After a few weeks they found 2 of the 3 payments and actually accused my wife of falsifying the stamp on the 3rd payment.
I went mad and said why would be falsify a stamp for £60 when my account was £300 or so in credit.
I stopped paying for a few weeks and only paid them in arrears after that.
I took time off work several times to try and sort it, Luckily i had every receipt ever made on the account.
I gave up trying and just thought one day the account will close and you can whilstle for the £60.
That happened a couple of years back. Account closed and settled minus the £60. They tried to say this £60 was due to a recent transaction because at some point we had slipped up and put the account in credit.
I was having none of it. I said this £60 is from many years prior to that. And still kept the paperwork from the original dispute.
I said you can either wipe the £60 off the bill or take me to court for it. But if i receive another bill or statement saying i owe anything then i will consider it harassment and take legal action myself.
They wrote it off and sent me a statement with a zero banace.
