    Hi Everyone,

I had a wobble again last night, floods of tears. I was in pain too which didn't help :o Better this morning. We have bought one of those one cup machines, so I put two cupfuls in a bowl and managed to wash and dress myself:T
Waiting for my neighbour now to feed the cat as I can't get into the kitchen yet.

Hospital today to have my stitches out and a new cast on.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Good morning all,

Just a quick post to announce the birth of my absolutely beautiful Australian granddaughter she is a stunner and weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs ten ounces. A very big girl for a first baby the biggest first baby they had ever had at that hospital so a bit hairy with forceps and stitches but both mum dad and baby doing well:D

I need to do some baking today as well as the tins are empty apart from a very unpopular coconut and orange loaf my daughter made last week. I don't know what happened but it is very dense and unappetising. Cake normally disappears within a day or so , so for this to still be around a week later shows how grim it is. I think I will put it out for the birds, maybe they can choke it down :rotfl::rotfl:

How about a quick ping in the microwave to warm it through and serve with custard? That is what I do when cakes are stale and dry so might lift it a bit?

Feeling under-the-weather today as I ate some vegetable curry last night and now my tummy is very uncomfortable. Hope to feel brighter as day goes on as have lots to get done. Hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

  • Congrats Grandma Julie:D That's what happened to me with Noah, he was 11lb2 which is big for first baby, you'd think your body would give you a littłe one first eh:rotfl:

    Morning all!
Congratulations, Julie. Must be so hard to be so far away when all you will want is a big granny cuddle!
It must be getting colder, made a huge pan of lentil soup yesterday, tonight's dinner will be some of the ham I boiled for stock in some shape or form, haven't decided yet. Am off to boots shortly to get some present bits for mum, its double staff discount this week so DD's discount card will be hot! Other than that, will empty the washing and ironing baskets, nothing else planned so will see what the day brings!
    Have a good day all!
    Redruby, huge hugs xx

Soup for lunch and Fishcakes with roasted veggies for dinner tonight.

Finished my book last night, so need to go on a hunt around the house for the next one! Also need to fit in revision too!!

  • Ruby I hope that today isn't too hard on you (((((Hugs)))))

    Grandma Julie Congratulations animated-smileys-babies-056.gif

Still raining here so a day of Christmas present making is in order.

I am hoping that it is dry tomorrow because I need to go to town, I want to make the most of getting out and about, because once the ice and snow gets here I am housebound :(
Must do an Amazon order today as well and then I am more or less ready :D

We are £200 in credit with the gas so I want to keep the heating off for as long as I possibly can, because if it is going to be as cold as they are forecasting at least I won't have to worry too much about paying for it, when it gets really cold.
I will light the bio-ethanol fire if I feel chilly, it gives enough heat to warm the living room and dining room if I leave the linking doors open. That reminds me I must get DH to take me to get some more fuel this week.
Fuming that building regs haven't got back to us yet about the wood burner  So I will give them a call later.

Hilly you really must take care hun (((((((Hugs)))))) x
