I have been with sky probably for about 6 months I think I pay £25 or something for talk, Internet and the phone line altogether, I don't even use the phone ever as we don't physically have a house phone!! We are moving home next week and we won't be able to get freeview unless we have the hassle of putting up the Ariel on the wall (unless you can get something and not need this?) so are thinking of going with sky, it's a rented property we are moving into, so obviously il still need a sky dish but I assume they will fit that.
I want to pay as less as possible, basic tv with no extra add ons, bit with recordable tv? Do you think they can do any deals if I call up? What would be good to say? What do you pay for the same kind of package?
I've actually had sky people phone up a few months ago offering good deals but I didn't take it as I was in the process of knowing id be moving home so didn't want it at the time, but they said I won't be able to get the offer again!?

If you only want basic TV channels without Terestrial TV access, provided your broadband speed is 3Mbps or more, you should be able to use all the internet TV services for your viewing. Or just stick with Sky. But they may charge you for the dish installation. You'll have to ask.0

Sky do free home moves, installing a dish is part of it if necessary0 -
The basic Sky TV package is £21.50 per month but it's worth giving them a call to see if there are any deals
The basic would cost you
Sky TV (Entertainment) = £21.50 per month
Line Rental = £15.40 per month
Broadband = £7.50 per month
Total = £43.40
Though you can reduce this by paying for your line rental in advance (a one off payment of £119.40)0 -
Are you still in contract with them? Usually its 12 months before you can cancel
If so, take advantage of the free move home service and then once the 12 months are up seriously consider ditching Sky for Freesat. If you can handle the reduction in channels of course.
You can pick one up from about £50 upwards but it will save you £27.50 a month Sky are charging. Just make sure you get one that has the ability to record.
As for the phone/broadband I'd be tempted to ring and try to get a reduction. I get my phone line half price for 12 months. Again, if you are in contract you wont be able to but wait till Talk Talk have a good deal on and then ring Sky to see if they will either match or beat it. Good luck0
