PCN Humberside airport

Hi
My hubby received PCN for stopping in bus stop at humberside airport. We decided to ignore this until I looked on here tonight and am now in a panic. The date of the contravention was 20.6.13 but the date of the notice is 20.9.13 due to PCN being sent to lease car company first and then Vehicle Control Services having to obtain hubby's contact details. I see from the notice that if you don't get the notice by the 14th day after the contravention POFA no longer applies. Is this a good or a bad thing. I have seen a few templates for appeal. Should I just use of these? I know the info is on here but I have been on so many links am now a bit confused!
Thanks for any advice

Don't panic over this, just get your hubby to send them an appeal on that he didn't park, the signs are not adequate, the pre estimate of loss is nowhere near what is claimed, this is an unlawful penalty, and no grace period has been given.
When they reject that come back here for help going to popla to get this cancelled. We win 100% of the time there.
Did the lease company charge for passing on your details? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The 14 day point relates to service of the PCN on the registered keeper.
The RK has identified your OH as the driver (which is good, as often they pay the charge and bill you back for it, thus removing your right to appeal). However watch out that they don't bill you a £30(?) admin charge for dealing with it.
What you need to do now is appeal to the PPC
When PPC rejects the appeal, it will send you a POPLA code.
Then you appeal to POPLA (if you follow advice you will definitely win).
I suggest that you start by putting 'humberside' and 'airport' into the advanced search and click on parking forum. Is Humberside and Robin Hood the same airport? If so search for that too. Only look at threads started in the past three months or so - this will give you a good start in knowing what to do.
Also COMPLAIN to the airport as they can get this charge cancelled for you. See here for successful complaints - including airports

Watch the time limits for appealing to the PPC and to POPLA.

Not the same airport Daisy.
But I bet a similar agreement with VCS.0 -
So far lease company not made an admin charge. That would be icing on cake!!! Thanks to all for help - will send appeal tomorrow.0

Keep an eye on that as certain lease companies make charges for this, and it's outside their T&Cs , if this company has abided by the bvrla in this matter and not charged they are to be commended, which lease company is it?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. On this thread the OP has just written a basic appeal (always mention signage but write your own version!).

But they have also stated that the PCN letter from VCS in their airport doesn't state how to appeal - is that true of yours, even in the small print on the back?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh I do hope so! Then you can send them this link and threaten them with court proceedings of your own...

Hi there
I have today received a letter from VCS to say they will not accept appeal. They have sent POPLA appeal form with code. Bit confused by it all after reading so many posts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
