It's a fair point- why would a car dealer who's business involves driving many cars around not be insured to do so?

It is the nature of their business.

A bit harsh reporting LT for trolling- it's hardly the greatest put down ever is it asking someone to apply a little thought process tho their situation?

To be fair to the OP he never asked about them not being uninsured as londontiger so sarcastically put it. They simply asked if the garage's driver would be fully comp ot 3rd party only given the courtesy car they are getting is third party only.

Now it might be a 2007 Golf but at the end of the day it is a lot of money to the OP and I'd be worried enough about some spanner monkey driving it to Derby! Not too bad for the OP to simply look for some reassurance on that. londontiger's response was rude and unnecessary.

Basically OP the car is in their care. They are responsible for it and their various insurance policies should cover them while it is on their road or at their premises.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

If the car dealers round here are anything to go by, the car is likely to be driven by a nice, quiet retired gent who is looking for some way to keep out from under his wife's feet in his retirement. A lot of them employ 'drivers' in this way. Cheaper than wasting the time/wages of a qualified mechanic, for sure.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.

Actually, YOU use some common sense! This is what forums are for. If you can't answer politely then move on to the next question. Reported you for trolling.

In fairness you are coming on to a public forum asking advice about a garage's ins cover, if your that worried ask the garage for a proper answer as only they know the answer
ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.

You may find your own insurance actually covers you fully comp for courtesy cars?
