Yep- and part of their intimidation process - edit: thats what you said!
I get a sense of satisfaction in POPLA wins for GPEOL cases - and find it ironic that in BPA's CoP it mentions charges cannot be more than GPEOL but then suggests this should not be more than £100 - ironic that this is what it costs BPA at POPLA for this win (plus £27 + VAT for PPC).0 -
The fact that VINCI did not turn up for the hearing means he was onto a winner.
Hardly a 'landmark decision' as claimed by the Mirror!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

All county court cases which are reported in national newspapers are 'landmark' decisions.zzzLazyDaisy wrote: »...Hardly a 'landmark decision' as claimed by the Mirror!
That's how the reporters justify their expenses - trebles all round!
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
And there is nothing stopping VINCI filling-in form N244 and paying £80 to have the decision struck-off and a new hearing date set.Never Knowingly Understood.

Its probably cheaper for them to pay the judgement then it would have been to defend it.
Hopefully they don't pay and we see them on the Sheriffs are coming like we did Apcoa and UKCPS.0
