if you had only read my full post. it was because I didn't have all the facts to make an informed choice

Now if they had said on their check-out page that this would be processed through a non-uk location, I would have said, no, as I pay my taxes in the uk, and I expect my traders to contribute their bit to the uK

Yes what exactly do DSG contribute to the UK?

With its 500 plus UK stores and 20,000 UK employees what exactly do we, a country, get out of that? :wall:

All right... all right... but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?

(Sorry, every so often a thread requires a quote from Monty Python.)
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

job security for 20,000 UK employees along with Millions of £ into the economy.

    but you could also say

what exactly do Asda contribute to the UK?
what exactly do Tesco contribute to the UK?
what exactly do Boots contribute to the UK?
what exactly do Argos contribute to the UK?
what exactly do TopShop contribute to the UK?
what exactly do Vue contribute to the UK?

and this list can go on

Earthstorm, I think that's the point jkkne is making - the OP has made a massive assumption that DSG pay no taxes in the UK, just because their SSC is offshore.
A company who pays taxes in the UK and employs shed loads of people in the country (who also pay tax & NI contributions) is being accused of something based on little knowledge or facts.

yes i know and the same goes with all the other companies i listed as they all use overseas workforces.

I do the same with my hosting

all servers are in USA and Holland due to costs being approx. 50% cheaper than in the UK
the payment gateways i use are based overseas

yet 90% of my customers are in the UK and all my staff are in the UK and i pay all taxes etc. in the UK

Is it just me that finds it ironic that you complained to WTFH about not reading your full post, then proceed to do exactly the same to them :rotfl:
    Thought exactly the same:rotfl:

I was hoping to find the OP had turned up to apologise for his rudeness, but that would be unheard of around here!
