Well been dealing with FD over a loan that we had plus a CC. Theyv had the 8 weeks and then some ticking on 4 months now. Started in july by sending the complaints forms to them as i believe PPI was missold. The loan was also topped up at some point.
They finally responded last week saying as i am no longer at the same address they cant deal with my complaint. They also say my signature does not match??. I have now resent a new set of forms along with a letterfeom them to me at my address at the time with proof of my current address. Also signed it.
Today again another reply, we cant verify your address nor the signature what the hell??. My signature hasnt changed and i have supplied them with proof of old and current address.
Are they just messing me round?. Does anyone else know how they are to deal with regarding complaints. I think I have been as patient as i can be.

Either ask them what proof they need of change of address and signature or forward your complaint to the FOSNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Well i thought old paperwork from them to me at the old add, and current council tax documents would be enough?. And as for my signature it hasnt changed at all. Do you think they are just wasting time. Spoke to the fos about the CC with FD around 10 weeks ago and they havent had any response regarding it. I am dealing with the loan. I guess I should just go to the fos now as 4 months later and they havent even began the investigation. Every other complaint I have had with others has been dealt with prompt, some with zero information. Very frustrating.0

Have you tried phoning them ? You can then update your address details and ask them exactly what they need.0 -
Yes but they said they need a signature verified and the address issues. Think they just stalling us tbh. Had the same signature for like forever. Have filled out a complaints form off to post on monday just going right to fos now.0

As that's likely to take eighteen months or more, I'd exhaust all other avenues first.jaynemacdonald1979 wrote: »just going right to fos now.0 -
If the loan and past address show on your credit report that, with the other details removed, should be ample proof of both past address and loan.0

Call them and find out exactly what they need to verify your signature and address. it'd be nice to think they would have told you already in one of their letters but there you go! The problem will just follow you to the FOS if you go there instead. Offer to go into a branch of HSBC with ID etc although they may well say they want a solicitor to verify your signature. They'll reject anything like a council tax bill as proof of address even if it has one tiny difference on it that's not actually related to the address (e.g. Ms instead of Miss or an initial instead of a whole name). Getting your PAYE coding from HMRC can usually sort the address part out.0

Thanx for all the advice. All they have said is my signature does not match the one from yrs ago dont see how. Gonna ring them on monday i no longer bank with them but was told pop into a branch. Its just findin the time off work. All my details from my name and spelling etc that they have on file are the same i been through all paperwork i have for my days with them. All matches. I had one from them after i moved address. So them saying no address matches. My old signature looks the same as now???? Puzzler.0

They have a duty to ensure you're who you claim to be. Think about it, how annoyed would you be if they paid out to some fraudster who'd got hold of your details?0

What's the point, if they've told you to sort it out at the local branch?jaynemacdonald1979 wrote: »Gonna ring them on monday0
