Home cake business

Mmm......caaaaake!
I do think OPs business plan is flawed....I know I probably shouldn't say this, but I think if most people wanted to buy a 'plain' cake, they would probably just go to a supermarket or bakers...and I'm guessing the prices charged in order to make a reasonable profit are going to be much higher....

Have to agree. My wife makes a fantastic cheesecake compared to the one our local shop sells for £2.99. If she were to ask friends and family they'd be agreeing that people would buy one of her cheesecakes.
The problem is, my wifes costs approx £10 to make. Refining those costs back to allow the local retailer £1 profit on the £2.99 and getting worthwhile profit yourself make it totally unviable.0
