50% Sky offer

I have tried to sign up to Sky using the 50% offer on the MSE main page and have been told that the unlimited broadband is not available at my address and they have offered an alternative "Broadband Connect" for £17 a month.
What does this mean, does anyone know? Surely if broadband is available then isn't unlimited broadband available?
Bit confused - and a bit gutted the offer now isn't very cheap!

It means that Sky aren't LLU'd on your exchange. Sky Connect is just a resold BT Wholesale product, and to be avoided at all costs. It costs Sky much more to provide it (because they pay more to BTW), so it's not available unlimited as it would be on Sky's own network.
Do an exchange search on www.samknows.com for your available LLU providers. No free lunch, and no free laptop
