  • Key questions are...

    a) Is landlord & property registered ?? Check at...
    https://www.landlordregistrationscotland.gov.uk

    b) Was the original tenancy or any signed since AT LEAST 6 months initial term??

    c) Was an AT5 form served on you BEFORE you signed the original tenancy??

    d) If Landlord is still abroad does she have written agreement from HMRC tax man regarding her rental income??

    Consequences ---
    a) If not registered max fine on landlord now £50k.

If b or c not done you don't have a SaT but an AT and, if you keep paying rent, almost impossible to evict you..

    d) If not then YOU the tenant should be withholding 20%-ish of rent for the tax man...

Contact Shelter & see what they say...

Give us the answers to my questions, please!
