I only ever use this service if my phone is left at home or has dead battery when the 10 free texts a month were very useful. Are there any other free online text services?
    I think....
  • MightyText has an android app that allows texts to be sent and received from a PC's web browser. The texts are send and received from the phone, the app provides a link between the phone and the PC. I use this quite a lot - and it works when you've left your phone behind (as long as there's a data connection). mightytext.net

O2 are stopping their free email service too. I've had an @o2.co.uk/@genie.co.uk email account since they were BT Cellnet. I still get occasional email to it.

Thank you for letting us know, when O2 doesn't seem to have done so yet.

I can't log in to one account as apparently it doesn't exist.

That's a little odd, given that when I tried something else to check they just sent me an email for a forgotten password for an associated O2 Money account, and they deduced the same email address for that without me telling them

    Phone call tomorrow ...
