my point was more the fact of poor customer service from Shelia's Wheels and where I stand on that... I had been told conflicting information from their claims department, not been told about the outcome of the incident... it's just shocking.

I am aware of the higher insurance cost but I feel like I have been shafted by SW's and wondered what to do about it!

What is it you actually want from them?

some compensation for their poor customer service ie another year of NCB or something... also recognition of their crappy way of doing things like not sending just a letter saying 'you have lost your no claims discount due to the accident' that would have been fair enough but to hear nothing is just wrong!
Life is too short not to love what you do.

They can't give you another years no claims, that's not how it works.

Best you are gonna get is an apology and a possible small discount towards next year.

Personally I think your time would be better spent getting loads of quotes from other companies online and over the phone. You might find one that is reasonable. Also try and do things to lower your insurance such as add an experienced (and claim free) named driver.

If you get an apology I'd be happy. If you are lucky they might send you a voucher for something.

Be worth having a look at their T&C's to see how they should have dealt with you and if they failed on that call them on it. If you aren't happy then you can report it to the ombudsman.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
