JMW Solicitors and UKPC

Hi, keep us posted when you do hear something.
DI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I would write back Dear JMW it would appear someone is sending out stupid letters in your company name.
Thought you should know.
If this stupid letter did come from your office, perhaps you could re-write it correctly and firstly by making it clear in what capacity you are representing, is it a account collection or litigation.
I ask because for litigation, I would expect a solicitor to have a basic idea of how to construct a compliant LBCCA.
If it is a collection agent I would have expected you to have at least take membership of The Credit Services Association or another trade association for complaints as is required.
Perhaps you forgot to sign the cheque to become a member or more as I suspect, you could not fill the form in correctly and sent them a letter constructed like the pile of twaddle you sent me.
ThanksBe happy...;)0 -

By the way, I've noticed that more and more companies (other than solicitors) are starting to do this as well, which (imo) is unprofessional.zzzLazyDaisy wrote: »PS - signing off letters with the name of the firm is standard practice in most solicitors' offices.0 -
