M5 junction 2 is Oldbury/Dudley.
Try this link to get the directions. The hotel is about 5 minutes from junction 2.

Thanks, I have directions on getting to the Hotel from J2. But the directions AA and Google maps give look wrong, so am looking for an easy way, perhaps someone with local knowledge?0

When you exit via junction 2 you will come down the slip road to a set of lights. You need to turn left towards the roundabout. I think there are 3 lanes, try and get in the middle one. There are traffic lights on this large roundabout and you will need to take the fourth exit signposted for Oldbury/ West Bromwich. There is a petrol station on the corner and also a pub and they will both be on your left as you take the exit. I think that you may be able to see part of the hotel too from the roundabout.
You will now be on Churchbridge. You then need to take the slight left into Joseph Street and the hotel will be along here.
Hope this helps.0 -

Yes. Drive to it via one of the routes that you find on google maps. Or multimap.
You have been on googlemaps by now, to see the route choices?Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0 -
So you are coming down the M42 & want to get to M5 J2 ...
You are coming down the east of Birmingham & need to get to the north west. You need to go round the top (M6), right round the bottom (M42) or through the middle.
You say you don't want to go through the middle so one of the others. If you are coming from Tamworth, go round the top, if you are coming from Solihull or Shirley then round the bottom may be best
Without more info of where you are coming from nobody will be able to help more - why *exactly* do the routes you have look *wrong*?0 -
Thanks, we are coming from Lincolnshire and staying in the Holiday Inn near J2 of the M5. so coming from the North East and need to get to the West of Birmingham. Last time we came from the East and ended up going round the south of Birmingham but it wasn't very good.
It looks as if the M6 does not connect easily with the M5???0 -

The M6 connects just fine with the M5.
Why are you having trouble working out a route from M42 to M5 J2? If you plug the locations into google maps it will print out a map for you.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0
