TalkMobile - any good?

Hi folks,

Have seen a few individual issues on here with talk mobile, as with any other phone network. However I would like to know if people generally would recommend talk mobile or not?

They seem good value so possibly taking a cheap contract out with them.

Also what are they like for inclusive data limits? Is it easy to monitor how much you're used and do they automatically charge if you go over?

I signed DH up for a contract with Talk Mobile, via mobiles.co.uk in January. He was in hospital at the time and it worked well. Unfortunately, he doesn't get great reception at home. He has to go upstairs to make calls. We thought it would be ok as we have a Vodafone PAYG phone which works well at home, and Talk Mobile runs on the Vodafone network.

Apart from the reception issue, which isn't Talk Mobile's fault, we are happy. DH hardly ever uses any data, but it is easy to monitor usage on line.

He had a problem with a scam text a while ago and it was easy to talk to somebody in customer services who gave advise.

So, I would recommend them but check your reception at home first.

we have 3 phone sims going at the moment in my household - talkmobile, t-mobile, and orange. By far and away, online and on the phone, talkmobile's customer service and billing information, in my experience, is better than either of the other 2.

My phone is on contract with talkmobile - I have 500mb data included, I occasionally go over this and then talkmobile starts charging straightaway. However, my online account with daily usage information is very clear and easy to read and understand, so by checking that I know when its going to happen.
