Amazon.com

Hi All,
Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
I'm trying to log on to Amazon.com to look at purchasing from the US, no matter what I do I cant get past a screen that asks for my email address, then it says its not recognised?
Is it my pc settings?

To ask the obvious, do you have an Amazon.com account registered to that email address?
  • Provided that ebaybaby has an Amazon.co.uk account, they don't need to specifically register on Amazon.com.

I place regular orders on the both the USA site and also Amazon.de and I have never opened accounts on either of them. All I have to do is to log in using my Amazon.co.uk details and then place my order as normal.

To state the obvious, can you still log into Amazon.co.uk?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Yes, Amazon UK no problem.
This is what I am getting just by clicking Amazon.com on Google.

The link you gave is nothing to do with Amazon its for Unblock-Us. You need to go direct to http://www.amazon.com/

If you are using Unblock-Us have you paid them because you have to pay for their service or change your DNS setting from the Unblock-Us server to what you used before.

Ive been having another look today, and Lumstorm you are right, it is to do with Unblock-us. I have not paid them.
How do I change my DNS settings?

I thought Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com weren't connected or transferred and required separate logins!

Just try and create a new .com account using the .co.uk details.

Think many many many moons ago when I created my amazon.co.uk account i was told that .com operated on totally different/non connected servers (for some sort of legal conditions) so I had to create a login on that as well.

If you don't know how to change the DNS did you ever setup Unblock-Us? If not you should be able to connect directly to Amazon.com. Otherwise Unblock-us has instructions for changing DNS you would change to automatic setting rather than their server addresses.

The same login works for Amazon.com and .ca as well as the European Amazons my original account was with Amazon.com and it works with UK no problems. I did have to setup another account for Amazon.co.jp though.
