I have yodel deliveries all the time. Never had a problem. I certainly wouldn't boycott a business because they used yodel as a delivery service.

I've never had a problem with their deliveries from very.co.uk either. But the drivers seems to want to punch me in the face for having the audacity to give them some work.

and if you consistently experience poor service from a courier service who also consistently fails to resolve such issues and the company that uses that courier service chooses not to:

    (a) resolve them on your behalf or

    (b) offer an alternative courier service

    what would you do?

I would do nothing at all.

It's the retailer who is responsible for getting my goods to me. If this doesn't happen I will just get my money back.

I imagine the vast majority of yodel deliveries are fine (as I've said I have never had a bad one). Therefore boycotting any companies that use yodel is basically cutting off your nose to spite your face!

Obviously you are in a position to accept the inconvenience and frustration that comes with poor service i.e. the unnecessary emails and or telephone calls to sort matters out.

I like others on here do not see why we should have to put up with it!

    may as well add these

Shop Direct (Empire Stores, Great Universal, isme, Kays, Littlewoods, Very, very.co.uk, Marshall Ward, Woolworths, Nationwide Debt Recovery, Shopdirect, KAndCo)

Shop Direct - Empire Stores, Great Universal, isme, Kays, Littlewoods, Very, very.co.uk, Marshall Ward, Woolworths, Shopdirect and KAndCo are part of the same company... originally also being the delivery firm White Arrow in the 80's, then HDNL, now Yodel...

They might be improving... I know they just took delivery of about 15 new vans from a local company! ;)

I do feel sorry for the relative I have working for Yodel! :rotfl:

I personally have had a lot of bad experience with them, once I complained about a driver who could not find my address... I personally walked the 500 yards to there depot up the road on the same address!

Although saying this, recently a few deliveries with them have been ok... so maybe they are turning a corner!
  • I run a business, and out of around 700 parcels Yodel have lost 2, and I've probably had to get involved with 2 or 3 on top of this.

    Fine for me!

and for those of us that do, this thread should enable us to avoid using suppliers that do use Yodel!

I can understand your wanting to post positive comments about a service that has given you no cause for complaint but please allow those that have experienced poor service, to exchange information that will allow us to avoid making purchases from suppliers who utilise Yodel as their courier.

    It's a petty thread.
