  • Hey 4consumer,

I actually said that in the appeal.

The photos show the sign and 4 pictures of my car legally parked in the space. I said along with the mcds receipt if anything the attendant is highlighting how I have followed their rules. There is no picture of me leaving the site (funny thing is theres nothing around there to leave site for) so im kind of looking forward to what they say I left site for or where I went ha.

The attendant is supposed to be known to do scam tickets I heard from a regular McDonalds goer. It made sense the fact I was the only car in the park lat the time and for a whole 3 minutes.

As a hypothetical question guys what happens if POPLA operate some sort of police 'who you know' culture and Im no lt successful in this POPLA appeal?
  • Also bod do I just ring McD up and just say that or is there anything else I need to say?

Then UK Parking Control do not have a leg to stand on! If the parking charge notice stated reason for charge "leaving site" and with no photographic evidence to back this up coupled with your receipts for McDonalds (DO NOT LOSE THESE); then this will form the basis of your grounds for the POPLA appeal. When you get the code - come back for help with wording from everyone.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The PPC is going to get your information from DVLA anyway, so I'm not sure why you're 'scared' - you're either taking this far too seriously, or you're watching too many American cop shows :).

I would rather view the McD telephone call and statement about the CCTV as a positive move at this point, otherwise why bother phoning you? Wait for follow up call.

I am more surprised that you had a receipt from McDonald's. Never seen one issued ever except for salesmen wanting business paperwork.

Leaving the site has been covered by

Whilst not a binding decision, it does put this nefarious business into context. And on images of you leaving the site, do they have a database of everyone's name to a face? Not even the police has such a thing!

It's complete and utter rubbish, you were a customer, you spent money and proved it, there is no loss, there has been no grace period as can be proved by the timing of receipts and the ticket, basically they cannot win unless you allow them to.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
