Is it the left or right?

When looking out of your back door into your garden which side do you own ?(walls/fencing in the garden).

Our neighbour, when she moved in 4 years ago asked us to repair the wall on the left (looking out our back door) because it had been built badly.She reckon it was ours.So we did.It cost us £1000 and 2 days later she painted it now she is drilling holes into it.
But i've since heard it's the right hand side you need to keep maintained.

I don't think that there is a hard and fast rule. Check your deeds.

i thought mine was left but turned out to be neighbours, check your deeds it will tell you there.
