Interesting you pick it from the Hindustan Times as in India you can buy a heating element that replaces your shower head. Looks a similar principle0

Wow energy daving I will have to my mate Dave as he always looks tired0

Thanks for the post but the following should be noted
At £59.99, the Tefal kettle has some other drawbacks as well. The water the machine produces is very hot, it is not quite at boiling point. As a result, tea lovers may find it doesn’t draw as much savour from a tea bag.
No good for tea!! Not a kettle then!!!!!!
Likewise, the water might not be quite hot enough to work with all types of dried soup, hot chocolate or a Pot Noodle.
That'll put the pot noodle mines out of busines how are we Welsh supposed to earn a living with the noodles and the coal gone?
The company also warns that it would not be hot enough to make the sterile water needed to reconstitute dried baby milk.

What use is a kettle that doesn't boil water?
Similar set up to Electric Showers by the look of things.0 -
Hopefully located somewhere where little fingers wont reach up and press the bright red button ... don't like the way it pours personally. Interesting concept though."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0

Here's an idea - turn on the cold tap, fill the cup you're about to use, pour into kettle, boil and use - WOW you've used pretty much the same energy and actually got water at the temperature you need.0

Have to admit that when I heard it used 65% of the energy I had a sneaky feeling that it had only put 65% of the thermal energy into the water ... hence the not quite boiling hot or sterile features of the output."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0
