    That used to be the case, but the networks were losing so many high end phones they've started to expand the blacklisting...

    My nephew has had his phone blocked for non payment.

    Going to purchase iphone from apple store on wife's interest free credit card,pay it off before interest free period ends..

    Figured its not worth the risk and headache..

    Fully appreciate network providers are having to take further measures with unpaid bills etc
