Very late call from me tonight, trying to get a blanket finished in next few days as I have orders for 3 more before Christmas and I hate being rushed.
We had a lovely roast chicken with swede, broccoli and roast potatoes....large chicken, so I left it on the counter to cool properly before putting in fridge....came out of LR an hour later to no sign of chicken...Mossy has had a feast for himself, could have killed him as there was at least enough meat left to do dinner to-morrow and Saturday and soup for Sunday. There is also the problem of the bones, which I am not too worried about as he ate a plastic lawnmower as a puppy and lived to tell the tale! He will not be my favourite dog for the next few days....
Been a nice sunny day here, but there was frost this morning and its chilly to-night, OH lit the fire earlier and I think that I will light woodburner in kitchen to-morrow, I am anxious to leave it as long as possible before I buy oil....last 1000 litres cost me €960, so will only be able to afford one fill this year instead of the 2 we have had for years.
Have written to insurance company and bank to cancel OH's life assurance, have paid the exhorbitant €632 per month for 10 months but it has meant cutting back all over. Plan on saving as much as I can to build up an emergency fund as there is very little in the pool at present.
Having DD1, DS1, DDIL and DGD2 for an overnight on Saturday....to meet the new member of the clan, whom I have dubbed P4 as he is the 4th generation Patrick. He is a lovely little baby and neither he or Mammy are having any trouble with breast feeding so far.
Sleep well and stay safe all
