Morning all,
Cool and clear here, Autumn has arrived!
Last night's dinner will be today's as DH wanted a take away. I think it is our first since early September as I have been much better organised about our food budget/meal planning. I'm going to start a 'housekeeping' diary to record & plan in as I need to work out our spending & eating patterns. Who knows, maybe I'll finally get round to keeping spreadsheets!
Today I'm going to complete the MFin3 shopping bags and the ironing ....I may be gone some time
Hugs all round xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Bore da all,
Dumpling - Well done on the 4lb, I must get some motivation.
Lovely day with girls from work yesterday, a few beers the cocktails hut home hy 7.30 & no bad head - result.
Am still on the hunt for a non- quilted winter coat, don't want to look like the Michellin man! Out shopping with DD1 later so you never know, may find the perfect coat at reasonable price
Didnt have SC stew yesterday so will have it tonight.
Hugs to all who fancy one,
Jan x0 -
Morning all,
Pretty breezy here in sunny Devon here too. The wind was blowing the caravan awning about all night.
Millie dog got me up at 4 am for a wee. Blasted site was in pitch blackness and she must have lost weight over the last few days as I pulled her harness I got the harness minus the dog! Panic stations I thought i'd lost me dog for a minute. There I was fumbling around with the torch but it seems she doesn't like the blackness of the field either as she came back to me (That's a first).
Went to Port Isaac (Port Wenn) yesterday. Walked the dogs legs off round the harbour and looking for Doc Martins surgery. We found it, we also found Louisa Glassons' school (which is now a restaurant). Mrs Tishalls' chemist (which is really a sweet shop) and Bert Larges' restaurant and his van.
We didn't find PC Penhales' Police station though. Of course I just had to take pictures. Of course those of you who live abroad namely NAR wont have a clue what I am talking about.:D
Not sure what we are doing today. I think hubby wants a day off.
Dumpling, well done on the weight loss. I really must get into some sort of diet at some point. I'm feeling huge and miserable because of it.
Whats happened to Cornwall/Devons pure unadulterated countryside? There are windmills everywhere I look. Not critisising exactly just having a little whine.

Shopping this morning and only spent £36.15 :j Just basics needed really but I did buy a couple of boxes of Aldi Christmas biscuits, Aldi ritz crackers, 2 boxes stackers crisps for the Christmas box and a new spade for the garden, so that accounted for £15.56 of the bill. So actual food shop was £20.59
Car insurance month so I have had to cut back on the shopping bill so I have been using the freezer stocks of meat , which is a good thing for rotation. I will go to the butcher next month to refill them.
There is a really chill wind here today, but no washing, I did it all yesterday and it was mostly dry when I brought it in I finished it off on the airers overnight, just the ironing to do now.
Dinner tonight is a beef stew with dumplings for the boys, new potatoes and kale, just the thing for chilly days.
Right I am off to get some of the ironing done whilst watching my little bargain dvd of Michael Bentine's first series of potty time bought for 50p from the library
Well done on the weight loss dumpling :T
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I currently have two Jack Russells staying; they arrived Tuesday night (I only got the call two hours before they got here) and they're being picked up at sparrow-fart tomorrow - 07:30. Apparently the owners have a family crisis and needed to place them for three nights urgently while they go and sort it out, so I was pleased to be able to help, as their usual host already has canine guests. They're brothers, Hugo and Dylan. I'm guessing some sort of literary reference, maybe Victor Hugo and Dylan Thomas? Anyways, they're lovely dogs, no trouble at all.:o
Hilstep what you been doing, mate? Healing vibes for you, my friend.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening.
Tough old week but trying to stay calm and positive!
Been to yoga with Asher today.
Made cherry tomato and basil focaccia which is proving now and will have that with spaghetti with meatballs and tomato butter sauce .
Was going to lunch with a friend yesterday but have rearranged it as I need a hibernating day tomorrow.
Having a restorative cuddle and DVD under quilt with DH later0 -
Evening all,
Late one for me as we are fighting over the IPad as our old laptop has given up the ghost.
NMLC one of things I've given up since I can't work is a manicure and pedicure. I so miss it, not much bothers me but I did used to love having my nails done sigh
busiscoming my youngest is in 6 th form and has to wear business dress every day apart from Friday. He hates it but they get sent home if they turn up without a blazer. Must admit he does look very smart.
Have sold a few bits in eBay today and some material. The lady is going to arrange a courier as she is in Devon (5 big rolls) she mst have really wanted it.
I really need to get into town tomorrow but its a struggle as I can't drive or walk any distance. Hubby is going to drop me in the centre and then come back for me a couple of hours later. I'm just going to take my time and have a few sit downs. I need underwear and to try stuff on, I would much rather do this kind of shopping on my own.
Have just had chippy which was delish but very naughty, oh well you have to be naughty sometimes:p
Have a good evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening All
Quiet on here today. It's been a glorious day, cold and windy but wall to wall sunshine. All towels dried on the line and smelling lovely.
Went on a school trip today planting trees, there was a fantastic trail organised for the children with magical characters who were in trees, on fences, etc. It was really lovely, the children were totally captivated and the weather was brilliant too. Great morning.
Done my shift at the hospice - a really good atmosphere today. I think it's been a good day all round!
Chicken curry for tea when DD comes in (about 20 mins) and then I shall pack a box. Just one mind, don't want to put myself off!!
Hilstep - Hope you're ok, take care. Hugs to everyone that needs one, LW enjoy your guests. Take care. XX0 -
Evening all.
Flipping heck it was cold at 5 o'clock this morning!
Day 1 at work done, hours sorted, holidays sorted, 2500 e-mails deleted, dinner scoffed, pj's on and a glass of well earned rose poured:T
Who would have thought a working week of 7.5 hours could be so tiring? That's it till next week, felt as though I was playing at being at work, but it will ease me back in. Right, off to find something to not watch on tv, I think I might just doze off here on the couch!!RIP Iain

What did I miss Re: the knitted penis? Is it a w!lly warmer in disguise?
Been to Westward Ho! today. Beautiful beach, hardly anyone on the beach so we had it more or less to ourselves and it was huge!
I got rather wet but not half as wet as my 'Girls'.
