i would phone up and book a time for the tour of the caves and or galleries of justice (joint ticket) as when i went on sunday i saw they had all special events on for half term week and special halloween events so it might be busy...
also the castle gardens / adventure playground is closed at the moment as there is a beer festival on in the grounds...

They are 6 and 8.
We plan to do the caves as soon as we arrive, booking permitting. I guess it depends on how busy they are and when the next available tour is. I'm not sure what else we could 'fit in' time wise. It's difficult as we are travelling by train so will stick to City Centre locations.
Is the Windmill museum within walking distance? When we visit Leeds we walk from the train station to the Royal Armouries and that takes about 15-20 minutes. Is it similar?
Thank you to everyone that has replied
so many things to see and do. I'll take all your comments into consideration x
From the Caves it would be a bit longer than 20 minutes walk to the Windmill museum. However, its in Sneinton so the buses go there every 10 minute from all over the city centre (and its only 10 minutes or so on the bus). Over half term you can get a family all-day bus ticket for all the city buses for £4 a day.0 -
Is the Brewhouse Museum Free? I've been on the official website but it doesn't mention an entrance fee. We are possibly thinking of visiting on Saturday?
its a joint ticket price with the Castle (the Brewhouse yard museum is right under the Castle) - from the council website the joint ticket price is -

When you get off the train head down the road into the city the Broadmarsh shopping centre is right in front of you and the caves are upstairs , The caves tour only lasts about 40 mins when you leave the caves turn right go up the stairs again go outside turn right cross over the road (watch the tram) head straight over into the lace market area the Galleries of Justice 1.30 Hours is here on the right after that go back the way you came past the shopping centre to head into the city you should be able to find the castle from here and many a place to eat. Have a good timePure Dog Loving0
