plywood or hardboard?

    got the hardboard and self adhesive tiles and thought i was good to go but reading the instructions it says i need to prime the hardboard! anyone know if this must be done and if it isnt what will happen, thanks :)

    If the tile instructions say you need to prime the hardboard for the recommended adhesive, that's what you need to do. Why would you think you can get away with not doing it?
