Experian AGAIN!

Indeed Experian doesn't say the OP sucks - pretty sure we do though!Experian doesn't 'say you suck,' it shows the company making the enquiry your account history and other such information. Said company then makes their own decision.
Your credit history speaks for itself. If I say 'bloodytickedoff held this account, that account and the other account and all payments were up to date' to a lender, then the lender refuses you credit, is that somehow my fault? No. It's no different with Experian...they just provide facts. The only way they would be at fault is if they were showing incorrect data on your credit report, but it's your responsibility to keep an eye on your reports and report any inaccuracies.
Now quit ya whinin' and do something about it.0 -

Re Bold. Which I did last year:T
And experian REFUSED to amend my file 'til my MP was involved. Should I have had to go to those lengths, NO but experian forced me to, then they backed off, apologized and amended my files.
Mattye.............what effin lender. There isnt, hasnt been any "lender" involved at all.0 -

I'm unsure how you got to 'can't read' from my post. Mind you, I can at least spell and use punctuation properly.
However, just to show you that I can actually read, I have explained my post in simpler terms below. In case you're struggling, I've highlighted my words in a nice shade of purple, like this.Grow up. For someone who's supposed to be a retired adult you sound like a
petulant child.
"Oh boo hoo, woe is me, Experian are out to get me". Do
you really think they don't have better things to do with their
time?
What, have you been
drinking!
During the day? No. I'm not exactly sure how you arrived at that conclusion, but I'll just assume it's because you're irrational.
Lenders make the choice, not Experian; it is as simple
as that*. Perhaps the lenders don't want to lend to a retired person? That is
possible.
What lender?
Halifax. You started this rant about Halifax, and their Clarity credit card. That makes them a lender. You then went on to share dealing services, which will almost certainly offer a line of credit to certain users. All applicants will be treated the same, even if not taking advantage of the credit services, hence the description of 'lender'.
Perhaps they don't
consider you have demonstrated a stable enough history of credit use since you
say you don't have any.
Enough history? How old do you
have to be 200, 300 years old. I'm 60 !!!!!!.
Bully for you, I'm thirty-six and a half. You stated that you have no credit cards, don't use your overdraft and don't have a mortgage. I said 'history of credit use'. You're not really using credit. What's so hard to comprehend there? I appreciate that at 60 you 'have history' but perhaps not the kind of history those you're applying to are interested in?
There are myriad
reasons why you may have been declined by whichever lender/service you have
applied to. Experian aren't one of them, your history is.
Nope,
they said it was because of the experian report.
The Experian (note capital letter, it's a proper name) report simply contains a series of facts. I know that's a concept you're unfamiliar with, since your posts are composed of wild speculation and conjecture, but a fact is 'a thing that is known or proved to be true'.
Your applications were rejected due to something factual ON the report provided by Experian, not because of the report itself. I suspect there is an issue of semantics here. Would you, for example, be happier if you had been correctly told 'I'm sorry Mr. Meldrew, your application has been unsuccessful due to our interpretation of the content of a a report provided by a credit reference agency, in this case, Experian'?

If you cant be bothered to give me a REAL insult, waste of time typing. After 25 yrs in the Paras, do any of you think for 1 sec I'm bothered by your weasly attempts to get my back up....knobs.
From what I can see, the only person dispensing insults is you. Perhaps the other people are more interested in being right than in slinging insults around or "getting people's backs up"?
And I can't for the life of me understand why military service, distinguished as it may or may not have been, means that what you say is suddenly correct despite everyone one else posting the reality - which is quite different.
Perhaps the 26 on the streets of Bogside in Jan '72 dared to point out publicly that you were wrong about the role of Experian in credit checking.....?0 -
bloodytickedoff wrote: »Why is the word "lender" bandied around so much.
......
Just to answer this one, the company you're talking about is undoubtedly a "lender", because they lend money to people.
You're just not one of those people, though ......0 -

Can I refer you to the responses you had from people on this forum which at the outset were clearly trying to help you out. You didn't get the response you wanted (and god knows what that was anyway) and so turn to insults. I can trade those with you all day, but I have a life - you aren't going to get the answer you want here as I am not sure anything would appease you - I suggest that we all leave you to wallow in your own self pity and you can go and wind your MP up some more about the horrid people on this forum.0
