Just go to eBay, and do a search for printer cartridges. Sort by price. Look down the list for some of the cheapest cartridges that are in plentiful supply. Then see which printer they fit.

The official replacement cartridges for my Canon iP4500 cost £10 to £15 from the manufacturer... I buy chipped compatibles off eBay for about 50p to 80p each.

If you don't need 4 colour, just get a cheap mono laser (Samsung would be my choice).

I bought a cheap HP mono laser printer 6/7 years ago, because I do such infrequent printing. It's still working all these years later.

    Printing costs for 7+ years - £49!
