Kodak printers are supposedly engineered for cheaper consumables.
I've had a couple of HPs which seem pretty good, if you can buy the cartridges cheaply on the web.0 -
do you also know how long the kodak cartridges last. roughly how many copies by any chance? thanks!Cornucopia wrote: »Kodak printers are supposedly engineered for cheaper consumables.

If you don't need 4 colour, just get a cheap mono laser (Samsung would be my choice). No free lunch, and no free laptop

You should also consider "compatible" cartridges. I have an Epson printer and a set of original cartridges cost as much as a new printer but compatibles are about £2 a set on ebay and ime work very well.0

Weren't Kodak printers discontinued last year?
I second the comment about a laser printer. Whilst the consumables may seem more expensive, the actual cost per page is a fraction of inkjet prices. Where you may get 2-300 pages per inkjet cartridge, a laser cartridge will give you 1,000s of prints (depending on the model).0 -

Don't know if Kodak were discontinued but beware buying one yes the cartridges were the cheapest I could find but the one I had, every time information came up re low ink, the whole thing shut down I couldn't even scan with it.0

Kodak are pulling out of the printer market. Their cartridges were advertised as low priced but didn't contain much ink.
For low cost, I'd recommend most printers by Epson or Canon. Compatibles are available for most of their lower end printers but check before you buy. Another possibility is Brother printers but definitely check the cost of inks and that compatibles are available before buying any Brother as compatibles are not available for a number of their printers.
Also remember a cartridge that costs twice the price but has four times the ink is better value!
