Do Tesco disconnect a number that has not been used for 6 months?

Are you implying that the T&C quoted in the first post are incorrect and contradict the 'guidance'?

This depends on how it has been used. Plenty of reports here from people that have lost both the number and the credit at other networks with more strict T&C as a result of not making/sending any chargeable calls/texts for 6+ months. Topping up can help, but people that don't make calls and don't send texts normally don't top up.

Just because something is in the T&Cs doesn't mean it's necessarily enforced

I work instore, and as I said, the guidance provided to us is that our PAYG sim cards never expire. Whilst this is not directly applicable to 'used' ones, all the SIM cards come with the number preassigned and 20p credit, rather than requiring a manual registration call.
For obvious reasons, I can't go scanning and posting this sort of stuff on the internet, but I have no reason to go making this up......

I will repeat my warning not to try this on a number that you care about!
