Sky are crafty. Close to leaving

Hi All,

I noticed that Sky Entertainment Extra+ would work out £5 a month cheaper if I changed to that package (keeping what i already had).

Tried to do it online and it would not let me. After a few months of talking to many people at Sky they said that if i cancelled my HD they can then change me onto the new Extra+ package. They said it would be cancelled that day - it wasn't. When i could finally get it sorted they then told me that to have the HD on Extra+ i would be tied to another 12 months with them.

At no point was this ever mentioned, so now I am stuck without the HD channels and the only way to get them back is to sign up for another 12 months!!

In the Sky community, the agents have basically said tough - you will have to sign up for another 12 months!!

Any 'benefit' will have a downside - and you just found it! It is always safe for you assume any basic changes will reset a minimum term - it will be in the small print, but when arranging any changes, you must always confirm if a minimum term will apply.

Very rarely, anything is free.
