Zakynthos / Zante car rental?

Options
Hi everyone,

I want to rent a car in Zakynthos for my summer holiday next year and it seems that I can get a better deal if I book the car sooner rather than later. I'm flying in so would like to pick up the car at the airport.

Does anyone have any recommendations for car rental companies in Zakynthos / Zante please?

Thank you in advance.

Mo

  • Hi,

I have previously hired a car through a broker (Indigo Car Hire).

They managed to provide me with a great price for a vehicle from Zante. :T

Excellent service as well so you will be in safe hands!!

    Hope this helps.

I used Budget Zakynthos who gave very good service as well as a competitive price. They were particularly helpful about collection and return of the car at the airport.
  • Brokers will generally offer the best prices. Just make sure you check where the vehicle is to be collected from as some suppliers can be off airport (shuttle bus, meet & greet etc)

    Thanks,

I've Googled for Brokers but the prices aren't as good as the rental companies. They also seem to want me to go off the airport to get the car which isn't as good as the rental companies locations at the airport.

Has anyone heard of https://www.zanterentacar.com? They seem to have the best price but I can't find out much about them which makes me nervous... They seem to use the branding Holiday Autos Zakynthos and their branding/look is a bit too close to Holiday Autos which again makes me nervous...

    Thanks in advance

Try http://indigocarhire.co.uk like Connor suggested above, Zante Rent A Car are holiday autos it says it in on the tab "Holiday Autos - Zakynthos Car Hire Rental - Zante Greece" is the full name, here are some reviews on holiday autos in general, doesnt look to great :/ but they are a reputable company I guess and rather well known http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews89414.html

Is it really Holiday Autos? The website doesn't look like Holiday Autos to me, it looks like a copy. The Ts&Cs are very different.

Indigo car hire only offers cars which are not at the airport like the other brokers - not for me. Thanks anyway though.

Hm, It says it at the top of the page for me "Holiday Autos - Zakynthos Car Hire Rental - Zante Greece" is exactly what it says at the top, why don't you look for a meet and greet service instead?
  • I wouldn't trust any broker. They'll all simply book the cheapest (almost always not best) rental place. The way they attract customers is price, not customer service. Go direct to local firms, they actually rely on their reputation.

Thanks for the advice. Do you know how to find the local firms? I know Google is my friend but trying to find a reputable local firm seems to be as hard as finding a reputable large chain...
