    Morning,
Yes it's a bit grey here and the ground is wet,no washing out for me today.I'm going to make a pie with the leftover tater hash,I've got pastry in the fridge.I want to start making a few home made 'ready meals' to stock up DS2 & Dil2b freezer for after the baby is born towards the end of Nov.I could do with getting to the bottom of our chest freezer to check what's in there too,not much space -that's for sure!

Had a nice surprise last night when DS1 arrived home from painting at his brothers house.DS2 had asked him to pick up DGD as it's her mums birthday today so wanted her to come last night instead of tonight.Caught me on the hop though as I like to have her tea ready etc. when she gets here. She was a bit grumpy with a cold, didnt want much tea,or her bath etc.Good job I love her to bits :D

    Right,off to take Lyla out for a walk,have a good day x

    Morning all,

Misty here in not so sunny Devon however, i'm not put off as it brightened up considerably yesterday. However, hubby spent a good amount of yesterday asleep which meant he was awake till the early hours. I managed to get him to go food shopping but we did very little else so I will ignore any plans he has for the day today and see what happens.

All is well other than that. I had an in depth conversation with the farmer who's site we are on about his cows yesterday. He is hoping his bull has 'done' his job and is waiting for results to see how many lady cows he's got 'up the duff'. Then we had a conversation about silage..... Jeez i'd make a terrible farmers wife I told him as I didn't know what silage was.

Hubby had a burst of energy at 4am this morning as occasionally flies come in uninvited. We now have a Tea Towel just for swatting flies.

We are still sticking to a no takeaway rule. However, we still chucked in almost £60 in the trolley last night.

All is well at home I am assured though my daughter with our Grandbaby is looking a bit worse for wear. Her Instagram pictures show her with no makeup on and bags under her eyes.... She must be having too many sleepless nights as ive never seen her so frazzled. Son number 2 is still awol and daughter number 1 has now announced that not only does they still have one baby in hospital with pneumonia. Another of the babies has TB.

Still, i'm trying to stay smiling but positivity is in short supply.

TTFTM I hope all goes well with your interview.

    Onwards and forwards I say!

    Have a great day all,

    Morning all,

TTFTM great news about the interview good luck :j x

I'm out with dh this morning. I was shattered last night and my knees are killing me but never mind it was a lovely evening with the family and the food was delish:D
I've had an appointment through for my other knee with the same consultant (you have to be referred separately for each one) so that's towards the end of October. I'm hoping my appointment for the left knee replacement comes through soon, I really want to be done and dusted before Christmas.
I ordered my first Christmas present last night, a new purse for my mum. Hoping to get dads today and that's two done. Found it really hard to get going this year.
I'm hoping for a really quiet evening, something quick for tea and a nice cup of tea in front of bake off.
I'm trying to enter lots of competitions at the moment see if I can win something, hopefully fingers crossed.
Thank you for the comment on my hair BB, I love it, should have done it years ago, it's washed and dried in two minutes :T
I'm another one enjoying the thread about cooking all the recipes from a cookbook. Not sure if can commit to it with everything else I do but enjoying reading.
Don't know how I ever found time to go out to work!
    Have a great Tuesday x

    Good morning :D

Turning into a lovely warm day again. As lovely as it is I would really like to wear my winter boots without sweltering :o
WM is on, BM is going to go on and cleaning kitchen today. If I can drag my !!!! off the sofa :o
Not sure about tea, haven't thought that far ahead.
H's car has slow puncture so more money to get that repaired or replaced
Naff all else going on but that's OK, fancy a slow day today.

Hugs and spoons all round x

TTFTM exciting, fingers crossed and positive vibes for interview :T

  • Hello all

    Hope everyone is ok x

Weather nice here & have some washing on the line.

Husband went off to the station this morning & came back as there were no trains running. He took the car to the other train line. Utter chaos this morning on the trains.

Got chicken out for tea tonight.

Today I need to concentrate on filling in a job application form. Not really worked so it's hard. I went abroad quite young then came back & had babies. Goodness knows how had it will be to elbow my way into the job market. Getting references is also hard.

I feel like going to sleep! So am going to get on.

    Love , hugs & spoons

Good Morning every one ,I'm feeling a lot better today after my rather unpleasant evening last night.I have not yet eaten but I think I'll have some scrambled egg for lunch which should be gentle on my tum.DD thinks it may have been a touch of food poisoning from something but I'm not too sure anyhow I am back in the land of the living, but I'm not going to do much at all today definitely a 'spoil myself by being a couch potato for a change day '
TTFTM good luck with your interview today
Just looking out of the window its a glorious sunny day out there and its hard to believe its October.Still hopefully the longer the nice weather lasts the shorter the winter will be.No heating on yet thank goodness.
My friend rang and asked me to lunch this saturday and I will get the chance to see her DDs new baby twins.Lots of oohing and ahhing will be going on and I can't wait to see her little miracles. They were born after she had IVF treatment and I am so thrilled for her as she never thought she would ever be a Mum and now she has a little boy (Riley) and girl (Lexi) after all of the treatment Science is truly an amazing thing.

I'm off to make a cuppa and I might even have a wander around the garden as its nice .My gardener Mick will be here tomorrow and he will want to know what bulbs I want putting in for spring next year .He's such a nice old chap and keeps my garden looking really nice.As I can no longer manage it myself he is a god send and not that expensive as he only comes once a fortnight.
<<hugs>> to those who are feeling down or poorly
    Take care all

I am applying for a role as a learning support assistant. Is there anyone who would like to read my personal statement & poke holes in it please?

    Hi everyone

Another fully paid up member of the CBA'd club, provided it applies to any form of housework or cooking.

Went to play Petanca this morning, haven't been since we got Skye, DH didn't want to go, so he stayed home, did a bit of tidying, chilling & walked Skye. Going to a quiz tonight. We do spend a lot of time together, and think it was good to have a small break.

Still need to get the paints and/or some sewing out but hey ho!

DH & neighbour going to do some more tiling of the outside under the windows, photo will follow once done, probably BBQ meat + salad for tea tonight, that is the norm ATM. We sat outside playing cards until almost midnight last night. Weight loss had virtually stalled, if not starting to go the wrong direction, even though being good, but then this morning we had a good step down.:D

Good luck for the job interview TTFTM, ((hugs)), Spoons, & positive vibes all round. Belated birthday wishes to Moorhen, and anyone else I missed.

    Take care all. DG

    Afternoon all,
Hope everyone as well as can be expected.
Am also having sofa day and I shouldn't as I've a pile of clothes to sort out and put back in the new fitted wardrobes. Going out with work tom:Dorrow to celebrate one of the girls' 30th, should be fun but I may not be about until Thursday! :D
Chicken dinner tonight & beef stew in SC ready for tomorow!

Hugs to all who fancy one & good luck to TTFTM.
