Have a read of the postage sticky thread, it would be crazy to send a £200 phone recorded.

For paypal protection you need proof of delivery , but recorded is unreliable. Add to that the maximum compensation on recorded of £50 and you have a potential problem.

For a claim of non receipt you would need online proof of delivery. For a bank claim you would need the proof of posting.

However, what happens if RM lose the phone..what then?

Really, the sticky does explain it all better than I can .

You could try MyHermes but with all the extra insurance costs I personally would stick to RM. For the sake of a few pounds I would go with special especially if it must be there for Friday.

Special is at least a guaranteed service.

Also where do you get your £2.50 for 2nd class signed for from? Assuming you can get it to fit as a small parcel even when well wrapped it is £3.70. If it is boxed it is more likely to be a medium parcel and that would cost £6.30 . 2nd class is also pushing it a bit for Friday.

I'd pay the £6.95 for special.

Hopefully it doesn't say that, if it does I'll get it corrected. It should say that online tracking to delivery is needed for an INR .

    The weight is fine.

I would be seriously worried that it was I sufficiently packed if you can get it through as a large letter, I am not sure I would risk a £200 phone badly packed and under insured for damage. perhaps I am over cautious and other sellers may disagree, but I would not send it except well padded inside a box and that is unlikely to fit as a large letter. Have you seen how thin a package has to be to fit as a large letter?
