Free checked, child-friendly selection from Wikipedia for use in schools etc

Wikipedia for Schools is a hand-checked, child-friendly selection of articles from Wikipedia, organised around the national curriculum. It was developed by the charity I work for - SOS Children - and it's fully endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation.

We've just released the fourth edition, which you can find at schools-wikipedia.org. It's free to use, and you can download a copy by BitTorrent on our schools site.

It was originally developed for schools in the developing world where internet access is limited - since then, teachers all over the world have used it in the classroom, from South Africa to Australia, Tanzania to the US. And plenty of schools in the UK use it too!

Anyway, feel free to browse away, download - and if you're reading this from a school with limited web access, you're welcome to get in touch to arrange a copy by post.

As always, please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong place!
