What a farcical justice system we have, 5 years for the brutal torture and murder of a baby, you would get more time in prison if you stole from a supermarket! When will the courts learn that the only type of sentence that is good enough for people like her, is to spend the rest of their lives behind bars and even that is too good for them. Why on earth are we 'tax payers' having to fork out money just so that she can be protected against vigilante attacks - maybe she will have a tiny idea of what her baby went through.
However it seems that the rights of the criminal will outweigh the rights of the victim - until that changes I suspect that many more innocent children will suffer until some judge comes to some sense and delivers a sentence that is appropriate to the crime committed and that is free from the pandering of 'Human Rights'
Sorry for the rant but I'm just appalled at how many more children have to die before we wake up as a society and demand better justice for the innocent victims of these vile creatures who are then free to carry on breeding without a regard for what they have done!

your post is sad but true, like all the other children who have suffered this year too, the people who should be looking out for them have failed them, every time the comments from these "professionals" are the same, these people should also be held to account!0

I don't think this is a court one. If I remember correctly she was sentenced 'indefinitely' and is being released as she's no longer a danger to the public.
Although in a lot of cases there's very little that the courts can do as each crime has a minimum and maximum sentence, so if she was charged with child abuse she could only get the maximum sentence for that.... if they gave her longer, her defence team could go for an appeal and try to get it over turned.
don't take that to be that I don't agree with you, because a five year sentence and a new life is far too good for a scumbag like her.0 -
You do know that a Judge just passes sentence and that they are tied to how long a sentence they can give by the legal system.sweetstudent wrote: »I suspect that many more innocent children will suffer until some judge comes to some sense and delivers a sentence that is appropriate to the crime committed and that is free from the pandering of 'Human Rights'0 -
.....and you do know that a Judge listens to all the evidence and passes sentence in accordance to the law of the land.
He/she doesn't just read the daily mail and pass sentence according to what will sell the most newspapers.0 -
It's a pity she couldn't be sentenced to be sterilised, as well!
She does not deserve to have children and certainly should not be allowed to have another.
This is the most intemperate post I have ever made, but that horrible woman has driven me to it.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I think any future children she has will be taken away from her at birth0 -
not sure how they'll manage that to be honest. If she's being given a new identity she can't exactly tell people why kids are being taken off her.0

yes a new ID, but this ID will be on official systems ( police, social services etc.) so when she has a new child and registers the birth it will be flagged up, they dont need to tell the hospital etc. of the real reason, but she will know why.
Also even with new ID she will have a police liaison officer and will have to report to a police station on a regular basis so i would assume someone would spot if she become pregnant0 -
They'd also need a story for her new fella / friends etc. as to why she's having the baby taken off her.0

they will most likely have procedures in place for this situation as their would be no way they would allow her to keep any other childrenscheming_gypsy wrote: »They'd also need a story for her new fella / friends etc. as to why she's having the baby taken off her.0
