Makes sense to me, when Edinburgh seems to be full of whimps and bankers. Too physically close to England and you wouldn't be able to trust them. Glasgow is out, of course, because they'd all be too drunk to notice.
Also, it would give yet another boost to house prices, especially if you can get bids for the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, World Cup.....

Well as it's a discuss the economy, HP and the recession then your point is moot. I also think most people would agree with me that the minute movements of a particular house price index is tedious. Hardly talking shoite if my view is in the majority. How about you, are you saying that the minute movements of a particular index isn't tedious?
