The airport is growing, but I find it relatively easy to go through Aberdeen Airport, whereas larger more affluent and preponderant airports are not so efficient.
The only problem I've had is that when a flight was cancelled we had to wait for hours for a slot on the luggage carrousel to get our bags back. They refuse to disrupt any incoming flight baggage drops. Hours hanging around, desperate to leave.0

If you're going to do it, do it properly. Save it up for Christmas Eve, and do the whole row. Brings a whole new meaning to the thought of daddy saying "Now go downstairs, Moira, because Santa has left you a nice parcel near the fireplace. Just play with it quietly until Mummy gets downstairs....."0

How often does this happen and how much does it differ from other airports?
I would have investigated having the bag sent to my nominated address if there was no visibility of scheduling.
Sounds a little dubious to me to be honest as it's not that the carousel is in constant use.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

At Manchester airport (where I fly from), the domestic terminal has three carousels, two of which are rarely used, but could be if there was a problem.
We were stuck in Aberdeen and wanted our bags so that we could take them to the hotel and have access to toiletries and change into casuals.
We were flying out at a peak time (6:30) and we had to wait for virtually all of the inbound flights to finish before we could get our bags. I eventually got to the hotel at 11:45. According to the airline rep (who we complained bitterly to), there was nothing they could do as the airport controls the baggage handling and they refuse to disrupt other flights baggage.
'Sounds dubious'? Why on earth would I bother to make this up? :rotfl:0
