Working out holiday entitlement

i'm a bit confused now!!

am i going for 30 days (this is what i've earned up to now) - the days i've taken (18.5)?

The op upto 45 weeks would have 30.28 days to use as someone doing his job for the year would get 35.

they have used 18.5 days plus whatever bank holidays have already gone this year whilst their working time (for example, let's say 5)

30.28- (18.5+5)= 6.78 days left to take.

Since you wont be working for the company over Christmas then those 2 bank hols can be excluded from the calculation.

So, would you do 27+6*45/52?

28 / 52 * 45 = 24.23

7 / 52 * 45 = 6.05

Add together = 30.28

18.5 days taken + 6 BH taken = 24.5 total days taken

30.28 - 24.5 = 5.78 days?

The OP gets 27 days PLUS BH so the 7 is the extra days given at the company

The 28 I stated is the 5.6 weeks statutory holiday per year

theres only 8 BH in the year and 2 of those are christmas day/boxing day so shouldn't it be 6 as thats whats been?
